French Style Meat

When we were in Russia, I learnt to cook a new dish which is very unique and tasty to me. It's called "French Style Meat" (direct translation from Russian). Most of the time, the people use pork. Today I cooked it at home and I used chicken...anyway want to try it? Here's the recipe. You only need meat, cheese, mayoneise, potatoes and onion. It's a pretty rich dish though so don't eat it too often (for health reasons).

Marinate the meat with salt and pepper for 3-4 hours. Then arrange cut potatoes on the oiled oven cooking plate. Next arrange the meat on top of the potatoes, follow a layer of onion. Spread grated cheese on top of onion, meat and potatoes. Follow by a generous spread of mayonaise. Make sure all the layer of onion, meat and potatoes are covered with mayonaise. This is so that the onion, meat or potatoes does not get dry up when it is place in the oven.

Then place it in a preheat oven at 175 degrees celcius for 40 minutes. Serve while hot. Try it...

actually mayo will add some taste and prevent stuff from getting burnt in the oven!!
