Sasha and I took a 2 days one night trip to PD on Sunday and Monday. We always to get away somewhere but since we don't have leave yet from work so it's a bit difficult. Being Easter Sunday, our church had Easter Sunrise service at 6.30am and by 9.30am we were home. So off we went to PD...
Was nice just spending time together, strolling on the beach, canoeing...eatting cheaper food than KL. We stayed at a studio apt at Mayangsari Resort. It's a re-open resort. Promotion for weekdays was RM99 so we took it. Not too bad lah. Thank God no rain in PD so was really a good get away...
Also met a German lady who is married to a Malay...exchanged some views which was nice...
There was a World War 2 exhibition going on so Sasha had good photos of tanks, trains, planes...of course there were unpleasant photos too...
I also fed some rabbits at Avilion...that was nice, I always like rabbits...they are so cute...
Next trip, we plan to go Langkawi...anyone knows what is a good hotel and place to go to in Langkawi? Pls recommend, never been to Langkawi all my life.

Hey, so glad you guys got to take a break.
Langkawi:
We had our family holiday there once 1998 (? can't remember which year now), a package deal with Air Asia and Awana Porto Malai Resort. It was quite good. Got to do some snorkeling too.
You have to rent a car though to see a bit more of the island. Maps are usually easy to follow to famous touristy places like seven wells, Mahsuri sites and more. But you can also skip all that and just get nice and cheap sea food in town.
GREAT BREAK !!!
You can try Awana....but if you are booking a package, rememeber to check the dates and amount payable carefully. My bro in law got 'cheated' by the website some time back when he booked for a date and was given another !
heard another good place is the Berjaya Langkawi Resort! They say itis the perfect getaway for couples! ;)
There is also a new cable car there which is great I heard and some other interesting sites as well! Yeah, rent a car, it is not expensive at all....something like RM100/80 per day.
Happy planning!
Yeap thanks Kathie and ann...will look into these two hotels...heard things there are cheap..did not know actually but wow good to explore now...
